At Trend IQ, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using Trend IQ, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal and technical information:
Personal Information:
- Name
- Email address
- Payment, purchase, subscription, credit, and entitlement information (processed or managed through Stripe, NOWPayments, Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat as applicable)
Usage Data:
- Pages and tools accessed
- Click activity and interaction with features
- Device type, browser, operating system
- IP address and general location (country/city level)
Chart Image Uploads:
- Users may upload chart screenshots to receive AI analysis
- These uploads are stored securely and may be used to improve the accuracy of our AI models and enhance the experience for future users
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To process payments, verify purchases, manage subscriptions, credits, and entitlements, handle refunds, cancellations, billing disputes, and fraud prevention
- To personalize user experience
- To analyze and improve chart-reading accuracy using uploaded images
- To monitor and improve the platform’s performance and reliability
- To understand page visits, feature usage, time spent, and error/performance patterns using self-hosted anonymous analytics
- To send service-related communications (e.g., confirmations, updates)
- To send occasional marketing communications (you will have the ability to opt out)
3. Payment Processing
We do not store your full credit card or payment card information. Payments, in-app purchases, subscriptions, credit packs, and entitlement updates are processed or managed by Stripe, NOWPayments, Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat as applicable. 4. Analytics and Tracking Technologies
We use self-hosted anonymous analytics to understand page visits, feature usage, time spent in app areas, and error/performance patterns. We do not use analytics to identify account holders.
We do not send account identifiers, uploaded chart images, Copilot chat text, payment identifiers, or full URL query parameters to analytics. Where supported, Do Not Track is respected.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your information only with trusted third parties when necessary to:
- Process payments, in-app purchases, subscriptions, credit packs, refunds, and entitlement access (Stripe, NOWPayments, Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat)
- Operate self-hosted anonymous analytics
- Improve AI models (using chart image uploads in anonymized form)
- Comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests
- Share limited in-app purchase, entitlement, usage, and consumption information with Apple via RevenueCat. This does not include the contents of your chart analyses.
6. Email Communications
We may contact you with service updates, account notices, or important platform changes.
By creating an account and accepting these terms, you agree to receive occasional marketing and newsletter emails. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, or unsubscribe from any marketing email.
7. Data Retention
- We retain your account data (such as name and email) for as long as your account is active.
- Chart images uploaded for analysis may be retained securely for future AI training and accuracy improvement unless you request deletion.
- Billing, purchase, refund, cancellation, entitlement, and dispute records may be retained as needed for legal, tax, fraud prevention, platform compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes.
- If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where required by law to retain it longer.
8. Account Deletion & User Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and uploaded data
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information and uploaded files against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
This includes encryption, secure storage, and strict access control.
However, no system can be 100% secure, and you use Trend IQ at your own risk.
10. Children’s Privacy
Trend IQ is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If we become aware that a minor has submitted information, we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top.
If any material changes are made, we will notify users via email or in-app notification.
